The Vinted Refer a Friend Offer

How to get £15 credit with Vinted

Vinted’s refer a friend scheme works via a referral link (see screenshot below). Interestingly, the incentive/focus is on new users selling rather buying – Vinted appears keen for friends to sign up and add new items for sale. When a new user signs up via the link they will automatically be enrolled in the offer. To benefit, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click the refer a friend offer link – this will take you to the vinted.co.uk sign up page, with the header ‘join your friend on Vinted’
  2. Sign up and create an account
  3. To get the first bonus (2 x £2.50) you need to list an item with Vinted within 7 days – you can do this very easily via the App
  4. To get the second bonus (5 x £2.00) you need to sell one item within 30 days. There do not appear to be any restrictions on the item type or value.
  5. Vouchers will be automatically deducted from future orders (within 90 days) of £15 or more

Why use Vinted?

For Selling:

Think of Vinted as the ultimate digital thrift shop where you can clear out your closet without the hassle of a traditional yard sale. It’s a community-driven marketplace where you can list clothes, home decor, and accessories you no longer wear and snag “new-to-you” pieces for a fraction of their retail price. Unlike many other platforms, there are no selling fees, so whatever you make stays in your pocket. It’s incredibly easy to use—you just snap a few photos, set your price, and chat directly with buyers—making it a win for your wallet and a much more sustainable way to keep your wardrobe feeling fresh.

For buying:

I resisted using Vinted for a while, unsure about quality, condition, ease, etc. However I have since become a relatively regular user, mainly as a buyer. Here’s why:

  • It’s more sustainable and environmentally friendly than fast fashion, store purchasing.
  • The filters let me tailor condition, size, etc. to my own needs. So if I’m looking for a specific shirt from a specific brand and only want it brand new with tags for a good price – I can just choose to see this.
  • It’s possible to make significant savings, again on specific targeted items. I had 3 or 4 specific designer shirts I wanted to purchase, so I set up saved searches for them and in some cases saved £70-80 on the RRP.
  • It’s straightforward – it is very easy to use the App to make offers, purchases and sales. When you sell
  • The buyer is generally pretty well protected – now this may be less valued if you intend to mainly use Vinted to sell (because some have reported that it’s open to abuse), but in the few examples where I’ve been unhappy with a product this has been resolved very quickly by Vinted, with a refund issued.
