This site was created by Tim in 2018. It reflects Tim’s mission to find as many ways as possible to live a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget! With careful planning, he consistently focuses on ways to squeeze extra value out of everyday spending and to upgrade experiences through signing up to the right membership or loyalty scheme – and by referring friends. This began with researching the best ways to collect and spend American Express points and has expanded to a process or carefully selecting multiple cards, accounts and membership in a quest for upgrades and freebies. Recent examples include using the Virgin Atlantic Credit Cards to get VIP O2 Arena tickets and the Hilton Debit cards to get upgraded through Hilton Gold status.
Tim is a dad of four and works full time as a university lecturer. He lives in the South West of England – so is very conscious that not every reward and cashback enthusiast is focused on London-centric rewards and British Airways flights from Heathrow. His favourite destinations to visit include Hong Kong, Toronto and the Algarve (ideally with points flights, free airport lounge access and a hotel upgrade!).
