What is Yonder Credit Card?
Yonder is a rewards credit card, where you can earn points for spending (and signing up via a referral) which you can then use for rewards including dining, entertainment and travel. Most rewards are focused on London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Bath, although some are available online.
Rewards and experiences are managed via the App – you simply pay for the experience via Yonder and select reward points as the payment. The paid membership also includes worldwide travel insurance and a metal card (£35 fee if cancelled within 3 months). The Yonder Credit Card can be used anywhere where Mastercard is accepted.
I’ve been a Yonder customer for about 18 months and have redeemed points for both online purchases and dining out. The interesting/positive thing about Yonder is that many of the rewards are with independent business or new start ups – encouraging you to try new places and things.
Whilst the value of points varies, depending on the retailer/category, typically I’ve found the base value to typically be 3 points = 1p. This is based on 3,500 points being a pretty common starting point for a £10 credit for a local independent restaurant or cafe. However, some experiences redemptions can be much higher than this. To redeem points you just pay at a listed retailer with your Yonder card and then a message immediately pops up in the App, asking if you’d like to earn or spend points. If you select to spend, the points are immediately allocated and the relevant amount deducted from the total. So, small amounts of points can be good for just having a beer in a different pub by the river – as below!
