The reward can be claimed once your Sky account has been active for 45 days and you have paid your first bill. You will be invited to claim your reward via an email from Sky. See link for full details and terms and conditions. Unused reward codes expire 11 months after issue.

After a successful referral, you receive an email allowing you to ‘select your reward’ from a wide range of gift cards including options like Amazon and Sainsbury’s. You simply enter the emailed code, select the gift card option and then receive it instantly by email.

How much will I get from the Sky TV refer a friend offer?

The reward available ranges from £30 for Broadband only to £100 for Sky Glass, Sky TV and Netflix. See the image below for reward details for each package.

All decisions regarding issuing rewards and valid use of code are made by Sky. I will also receive a reward if you use this link.

Tip: Once you sign up, make a note of your contract renewal date and make sure to contact Sky around a month before this to negotiate the best deal. I do this every year and frequently get a significant discount via live chat.

What is Sky VIP?

Sky VIP is a loyalty scheme, where rewards are based on the length of time you’ve been with Sky. It has four tiers: Silver (0-3 years), Gold (4-7 years), Diamond (8-15 years), Platinum (15+ years). Rewards include Sky Lounge Access, Competitions and opportunity to claim perks such as free Sky movies, cinema tickets, etc. Importantly, rewards always need claiming via the VIP tab in the App – you don’t get sent them automatically.

I am currently Sky Diamond and enter or claim rewards periodically. Although I haven’t won any competitions recently, I do have friends who have won concert tickets and Madame Tussauds tickets in the past year. I did make use of the Sky Lounge for a recent concert at Wembley Arena and have claimed several limited offers tickets, such as National Trust Day Pass – these were all things which could be claimed without entering a ballot. That said, as per the blurry phone picture below, the Sky Lounge at Wembley was essentially just a separate bar – and the drinks weren’t any cheaper!

One additional nice thing about Sky VIP is the rewards have a good geographic spread across the UK. Unlike other schemes which are often quite London-centric, Sky typically has rewards located across the 4 nations – and you can sort and filter by distance from your postcode.
